February 10, 2009: Severe weather mode…

  I am expecting and forecasting a high impact wind event for Wednesday.  Tornado watches are likely early Wednesday morning for all of our counties.  It looks like a thin squall line will race across all of our counties.  Some tornadoes are possible (esp over AR/TN) tomorrow morning.  This is a powerful storm.  The low pressure area will dip into the 980s tomorrow morning near St Louis.  Very deep.

  Gradient winds will also be a problem tomorrow.  This is caused by the deep low pressure center.  Winds will gust over 50 mph in most of our counties.  Wouldn’t be surprised to see some gusts over 60 mph.

  Hughes Satellite was here today and installed a satellite backup system for my internet.  This was much needed.  Looks like 3 meg speed.  Not bad for satellite.

  Things continue to move along here.  The farm project has been at a stand still since the ice storm.  Everyone is working to clean up the damage.  The tree cutters were here on Saturday.  They cut a few limbs (but left most).  Not sure what the deal is on that.  They even left some that are dangling.  Makes no sense to me.
