September 14, 2009: Solar panels – birthdays – corn maze!
Well, it has been a few days since I updated the blog. 🙂 On Thursday and Friday the solar hot water tank was installed. Solar panels were placed on the roof of the garage. The other solar panels will have to wait a few weeks (some of the parts didn’t arrive). The solar project was David’s idea and mine – mixture of ideas. 🙂 It is a good start – perhaps we can add to it in the future.
We celebrated birthdays on Sunday. Danielle’s birthday – Dylan’s birthday – daddy’s birthday! We had dinner at Dione’s house and then went up to the farm to show the kids the house. After that we went to Marvin’s Marvelous Corn Maze (right down the road from our house up in Massac County).
I think everyone had a great time. I had to work through the maze so Deena and Joey wouldn’t get lost. I tried to make sure they saw every dead end possible. Maybe more than once. 🙂 Anyhoo – we survived. Well Joey and I survived. I am not sure if Deena ever made it out. We may have to send out a search team for her.
The rest of the family went in different directions – once they were in the maze. I think they all made it out!
Solar panels are going up 🙂
